We are Alan and Becca Pohl of Alivio International, a ministry under the umbrella of Bridges of Hope. We have been going on short term missions to Chapala, Jalisco Mexico for the last 11 years and have been serving there fulltime for the past two.      Our goal is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to whoever we can and do so through a variety of ways. A big part of the ministry is to families with disabled children. We help them to find the services they had no idea were available to them, and then provide transportation from remote villages to treatment centers and hospitals.       We also work with a local boys orphanage to teach woodworking skills and Rotary Clubs to provide water filters, along with hygiene and health teaching. Becca has developed a reusable menstrual pad to help school girls and other poor women, but it also provides an income for two women and their families in the village of Agua Caliente.      The latest ministry the Lord has called us into is to Pastor a church to expat Americans and Canadians. We have made a great start and are looking forward to deep spiritual growth among the members. Always, with all the ministries we are involved in, we seek to teach the truth of Jesus Christ, and are able to do so because of deep, abiding relationships we have made with families.
