Purpose of worship team ministry at Crowsnest Community Christian Centre.
Paul states in Ephesians 5:19 to speak to one another with psalms, hymns and songs of the spirit and make music from your heart to the Lord.
Song has always been a central worship practice for the people of God. Singing songs in worship to God is historical, biblical and bigger than us. We are joining together with the voices of generations of believers.
There are many aspects to worship, but they are all there to support the congregational voices that somehow mystically connect the believer to the heart of God. II Cor. 3:18 says, and we all, who with unveiled faces, contemplate the Lords glory are being transformed into his image with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. When people are open to the interaction with Jesus, their lives begin to transform to look more like Jesus.
And it goes even deeper than that. A congregation united singing the praises of God and worshiping, puts fear in the heart of all of Gods enemies. (II Chronicles 20:15-23). This action of worship then opens the door for Gods people to freely receive guidance and blessings of the Lord through the preaching of the Word.
