Parents, the time has come! (Finally... I've only been talking about doing this for 3 years!) We're going to be starting a 6-week Spiritual Parenting workshop series, beginning Sunday, April 15 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xks-B9o9ZMQ
WHY: to help us with parenting from a spiritual perspective. The end goal is to pass on a vibrant and transforming faith, not just raise kids with good behaviour.
WHAT: Spiritual Parenting Workshop from 4:00 - 5:00 pm, followed by a great time of connecting while we eat potluck from 5:00 - 6:00 pm every session. Potluck is optional, but is going to be super fun and satisfying fellowship time!
*Note - the vision here is to be a sustainable group, responsible for our needs and sharing equally in the work. Potluck etiquette is to bring enough delicious food for your own family +1 person. We'll be washing our own dishes and cleaning up together before we leave. Extra points for the best & fastest cleaner-uppers ;)
WHERE: CCCC Church - workshop in sanctuary upstairs, potluck downstairs, childcare downstairs
WHEN: Sunday evenings, 4pm - 6pm starting April 15 to May 13 (we'll skip the session on Mother's Day to allow for family time)
COST: Free, with childcare offered (probably a movie downstairs) with a babysitter who will accept $$ donations for their time. This will be offered from 4-5 pm during the workshop time (not potluck time).
OTHER DETAILS: There are a few copies of Michelle Anthony's book, Spiritual Parenting, available in the church library to borrow. It's not a 'must' to read it, but is highly encouraged to get the most out of this workshop! Also, as with any course, it's best to attend all of the sessions, but if you will be missing any, we can lend out the DVD after the final session if you'd like to catch up on the ones that you've missed.
